Second album et album de l'année ! de l'excellent Rock Progressif revisité avec de nouveaux sons, cuivre, jazzy, pop, comme on aimerait en écouter plus souvent... après l'excellent single "Place your bets" difficile de choisir un seul titre, alors je choisis les 7 titres que constituent ce nouvel album, mes préférées sont "Wandering Cloud", "57th Street" et "Vertigo"... Esthesis c'est l'avenir du Rock Progressif en France et au delà de nos frontières.... Mille mercis à vous 4 !

For anyone who loves progressive music, this band, and this album, is a must listen. The closest comparison for me is the band IQ. Robin Peachy's vocals are very similar to that of Peter Nicholls. The title track is the one that really put the hook in for me, especially around the 6+ min mark, where the whole thing shifts into a very jazz/prog groove and is just fantastic! Sacrifced in Vein is another standout track. An excellent album for longtime prog fans and curious newcomers.

From the first to the last note, this is a highly accomplished offering. Moving through various themes and movements, the songs on the album lead us by the hand of fate from heartbreak, through despair, and onwards to eventual hope, acceptance and redemption. Charlie Bramald’s lyrics and delivery are a masterclass in performance, all ably backed up by consummate and confident musicianmanship from the band members. Highly recommended.
